Hi,
They called me Pokey, and yes there is a reason for that.
My 2-legged Mommy seems to always pick a naming theme for our litters and as
you probably guessed Our Theme was childrens storybooks. I'm named after the
Pokey Little Puppy, since I was the littlest..........pssst.. did I fool them or
what........
I turned out to be the biggest boy in my litter.
Because of my blue eyes they decided I wasn't gonna be a show dog, but my
2-legged Daddy loved me and wanted to keep me as his companion.
However, I had other plans?
Grandma Debbi and Mommy Denise decided that I looked pretty good when I
started to grow up, so they gave me a chance in the Show Ring. I decided to
show them what I could really do since I decided that I liked traveling with them
and going to the shows (there's some mighty fine 4-legged girls, there! and they
smelled good, too)
I liked being in that show ring (even though sometimes Grandma Debbi got
REALLY angry at me - and took me out behind the wood shed a couple of times
to give me a good talking to..........she is very persuasive when she gets angry!) I
got even with her though...........I earned my Champion title within 4 months.
PSST..............I heard her tell Mommy that " I made her eat her words"
( I think that meant she was either really really hungry or she didn't think I was a
show dog) "I Showed Her"
Well, now I am what they call Retired and I get to stay home and watch movies
and eat popcorn. I kinda like that, too! But sometimes to tell the truth I miss
going to those shows.
Although, now the good smelling girls come to me!

PS Wanna know a secret? When I was in the Show Ring my nickname was,
